The Park in Czesławice

Description

The Park in Czesławice is considered as one of the most beautiful parks in the Lublin Region. Designed in 1886, it is mentioned in the specialist literature as an outstanding example of Kronenberg’s art. The park tree stand boasts seven monuments of nature, including Ginkgo Biloba that is 120 years old and pine trees: the Eastern White Pine and Honey Locust. Over 150 trees qualify for legal protection. The picturesque alley planted with horse chestnuts ends with a gate in a form of a colonnade in the Tuscan order covered with a simple entablature. The park features a figure of St. Anthony with Baby Jesus, made of white ceramics. Alleys planted with old trees ran out of the palace-park complex and led to the nearby manorial farms and to Nałęczów. The park area boasts about 200 bird species, including the Great White Herons, Swans, Western Marsh-Harriers, Mallards, Common Goldeneyes, Long-eared Owls, and Tawny Owls, among others.
