The palace of the Czesławice

Description

The palace’s origin is connected with the expansion of the Czesławice residence, which took place in the 1880s. This is when the then new owners, the Wernicki family (descending from Wierzynek, treasurer of King Casimir the Great) built a palace here, furnishing the representative residence with lavish. The architectural part was designed by Leonard Marconi. Only the ceramic floor in the lobby, and the corniced vault in the hall with two stucco rosettes have remained of the original design. The palace is surrounded by a landscape park, with an area of 18 ha, designed by Walerian Kronenberg.
